I'll never use the words "tomorrow", "next week" or things like that in my future posts again. "Next time" "soon" and stuff like that are going to become my favorite words from now on XD

You couldn't count on it from the beginning anyway!

I have been very inactive the last months, i haven't even shown pics of the finished cosplay to you  <.<

I am very sorry and would like to apologize to you q.q

The next thing is: No novel-like posts here any more. Less is more, in blogcase i guess :)

First, gamescom was a big success, lots of photos were taken, we couldn't even move because of the amount of requests we got :D

Also, the League of Legends Cosplay contest was nice, but yet not really fair.. Since the audience had to decide who the winner would be, barly dressed girls with a nice body and poorly sewn cosplay came closer to victory than other, well sewn dresses, where less skin was shown..

i was with each of my costumes in the top 5, which is pretty good i guess, and i lost to some really good cosplayers after all, so it was totally ok for me :)

They even showed my cosplays in the Summoner's Showcase from League of Legends:

You can hardly see me in the video (and the photo they got is not that charming for me..) so let me show you some pics from the Connichi, which was also a great success for my little LoL-group ;)

Here I am again, after over a month without report.

Unfortunately, the last weeks were filled with stress, because i wanted my cosplay to be ready for the gamescom 2012, so I  was not able to post something regarding the progress of my work. That's why you'll get a post that includes the last weeks progresssteps, all at once ;)

Also, I'll show you pictures of the gamescom, and first conventionphotos, which will reveal my finished cosplay for the first time, on Sunday i guess.

Connichi is just 1 week from now, so be prepared for some further pics of my Guqin (the instrument, which i could't finish for gamescom, though i had the great help of my boyfriend :( but maybe it was better that way)

Nach dem konstanten Arbeiten an der Perücke und dem Schmuck war erst mal Abwechslung angesagt: Nähen. Und zwar das einfachste zuerst: Der Rock.
Dachte ich.
Jedenfalls am Anfang.
Danach war es für uns nur noch "der Rock aus der Hölle", der "Teufelsrock" ect.. 
Geplant war ein halber Tag dafür - gedauert hats 3-4 Tage um das mistige Teil fertigzunähen... -_- Ich wollte einen langen, schönen Rock mit passendem Futter, natürlich genial genäht. Vor dem nächsten mal mache ich einen Futter-Einnäh-Kurs. Von weitem siehts zwar jetz gut aus, aber ganz ehrlich: ER HAT FUTTER! Nur das zählt.

After working on the wig constantly, I needed some change, so i begann sewing the easiest part of the dress - the skirt. 

At least that was what I thought at the beginning. In fact, the damn thing turned out to be "the skirt from hell" aka. "devil's skirt" aka "Oh my god, how could i just think of that &%**%=?!!! thing to be the easiest part of that +*(&%=?! costume?!?!? -_- 

I planned 1/2 day for it - it became 3-4 days. I wanted it do be longer, I wanted it to be awesome with a fitting lining - I failed.

It's ok how it looks now, though I will definitly not show my work to anyone who learned sewing. But it's got lining after all. LINING!!! @.@

Danach war ich so aus dem Zeitplan, dass ich in meiner Panik angefangen hab, Sachen zu nähen, die mit Hand nicht nähbar waren (weil soweit war ich: Ich würde Sachen per Hand im Auto nähen müssen. Mist. Wie immer.)

Start: Die Schärpen.
Ablauf: "Ach, wo is der Stoff den ich verwenden wollte? War das nicht - ja, es war der Stoff der jetz als Futter in meinem Rock hängt. Sch****."
Der Zwischenfall resultierte im Stoffeshopping in der Schweiz. Zur Nachahmung nicht zu empfehlen. Nach 1 Stunde Irrfahrt fanden meine beste Freundin und ich den grössten Stoffladen in der Nähe (eig war er recht klein..) und darin den perfekten Stoff. Immerhin. Auch wenn ich den doppelten Preis zahlen musste wie in Deutschland.. dabei war er einer der günstigsten <.< Dazu noch Viseline, weil ich schon das gefühl hatte dass mir das Zeug ausgeht. Und nochmal wollte ich da echt ned hinfahren <.<

Zum Glück lief mit den Schärpen ansonsten alles wie geplant, und dazu ging es noch recht flott..
Viseline auf den Stoff gebügelt, Applikationen aufgenäht, Draht in das Schrägband gestopft. Dann noch die Enden aus Wonderflex gebastelt, mit Gesso bestrichen, geschliffen, bemalt - fast fertig, bis auf die Kugeln. Die bestehen aus Styroporkugeln, wieder im Gessomantel, geschliffen und mit Autolack besprüht.
Quasten dran, fertig :D

I was SO out of my timetable that i started doing things i could not sew per hand (that i would have to do that was obvious now)

Start: The sashes.

Ahh, let me see where I put that fabric i wanted to use, well i guess the one i used as lining for the skirt was supposed to be used here. F***.

With a wonderful start like that my best friend and I drove to the next fabric store (the biggest here, but still nothing in comparisson to the one i buy my stuff usually..) After an hour of searching we found the damn shop - and the perfect fabric. For about the double price which I expected to pay in Germany. NEVER buy fabric in Switzerland again. Even the cheepest one there is equal in price to the German expensive ones...

But i had no choice, i spent the money for that fabric, and also iron-on interfacing which i expected to run out soon. And after all that difficulties, i didn't want to drive to the shop again...

But luckily the sashed turned out great, better than I expected them to be.After ironing the interfacing to the fabric,  I applied the golden sections and implemented wire in the outer bias binding.

For the non-sew part at the ends of the sashes i used wonderflex, coated it with gesso, sanded and coloured it. The globes were made out of balls of styroform, also coated with gesso and sprayed with carfinish. Tassels glued onto it, finished :D
